Abstract

This thesis discusses one of the frequently encountered levels of hadith in Imam Tirmidhi’s work “Sunan Tirmidhi” – the ‘Hasan’ hadith, its definition, and Imam Tirmidhi’s unique views on this matter along with the scholars of hadith. By correctly understanding ‘Hasan’ hadiths, it is proposed to resolve the complexities in compound terms such as ‘Hasan-Sahih’ and ‘Hasan-Gharib’.
