This article scientifically analyzes the importance of madhhab (Islamic legal school) in the upbringing of the younger generation, especially in their spiritual, educational, and faith-based development. It examines the concept of madhhab, its historical development, the complex and systematic stages of its formation, and its overall significance. A notable aspect of the study is that it presents evidence for following a madhhab from the primary sources of Islam. Furthermore, the article provides well-grounded and scholarly refutations against the practice of giving independent fatwas by young individuals who have not yet attained sufficient competence and qualification.
