This article examines the phenomenon of “pure translation,” understood as an attempt to recreate meaning and authorial style without arbitrary additions, while maintaining a balanced relation between form and content. Pure translation is treated not as mere information transfer but as the reconstruction of layered meaning, connotation, stylistic coloring, and context-sensitive semantic dynamics. The paper systematizes key semantic dimensions (denotation, connotation, imagery, metaphor) and pragmatic parameters (communicative goal, audience design, speech acts, implicature). It also argues for the spiritual significance of translation as a bridge between cultures, a channel for ethical-aesthetic values, and a factor that enriches national identity and cultural memory. The interpretation of theconcept of pure translation within the context of national translation studies is revealed through the analysis of the scientific heritage of distinguished Uzbek scholars Ghaybulla Salomov and Zuhriddin Isomiddinov.
